Situated on a beautiful plot at Winchelsea Beach, this project saw Oarton Construction working in collaboration with Myriad Construction to deliver an impressive extension and linking structure to an already stunning property.
Phil and Polly’s vision was to open up their kitchen and living areas to create a brighter, more connected space — a goal brought to life through an excellent design by RX Architects. A key feature of the project was the clever linking of two existing buildings, not only improving flow and functionality but also reducing the property from two council tax assessments down to one, making it a smart long-term investment.
To ensure the extension blended seamlessly with the original home, we continued the use of larch cladding, carefully matching materials and finishes. One of the standout features of the build is the clad ceiling within the main extension, which adds warmth and character to the space. This is complemented by a new feature fireplace and large bi-folding doors, flooding the area with natural light and creating a strong connection to the outdoors.
The completed project delivers a beautifully integrated, contemporary living space that enhances both the appearance and functionality of the home.
